The world is going through a health crisis . There is another silent pandemic which no one is talking about - Obesity . Obesity is a major risk factor in type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. As per the Research Journal Annals of Neuroscience ,published in May 2021 , funded by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Ministry of AYUSH , India - Prevalence of obesity in India is 40.3%. India is now also home to 77 million diabetics , second highest in the world.

Pandemic has added fuel to this fire and since 2020 , the average weight gain in the work-from-home adult population is upto 12 Kg in the US and the situation is almost similar in India . Every day New hospitals are getting opened up and getting filled up with lifestyle ailments - Cholesterol, Triglycerides , BP, Sugar, PCOD, Thyroid, Varicose veins , Uric acid, even constipation, Headache, Migraine, Insomnia, Gastritis etc. , with mostly 1 common factor - Obesity.

The typical weight-loss industry is also booming and has become 200 billion USD Size worldwide. However the problem is not getting solved , it is actually being amplified as shown in the obesity rates. What does it mean ? Weight-loss supplements , protein shakes , Calorie counting , Portion controls, Crash Calorie diets , Gym , Exercise , Heat therapy , even liposuction surgeries - all provide temporary reliefs. Nothing lasts long. The research by MD Marschell S.Runge in Michigan Health titled“The tough truth about weight loss “says that roughly 90% of people who lose a lot of weight eventually regain just about all of it. Another study by Brenda Goodman says that 80% of people who successfully lose at least 10% of their body weight will gradually regain it to end as large or even larger than they were before they went on diet .

It is not like that people do not want it or they do not work hard. On the contrary , They want it badly and they work really hard. They go on a diet, they join gym or start exercising. But at the core deep level, food choices keep controlling them. They do not know how to change their relationship with food , how to overcome food cravings & sugar addictions and how to achieve food freedom, so that food stops controlling them, whether it is cookies, cake, pasteries , sweets, gulab jamun, or Pizza, pakoda , samosa, jalebi or other olily , greasy , fried foods. They are constantly controlled by food & food marketing and they are unable to change their relationship with food, because the food keeps controlling them . If watching YouTube videos could solve the obesity problem, it would have been disappeared from this planet by now. But the reality is opposite . It is growing day by day .
